Terms of service

Read these terms before placing a commission. Payment confirms that you understand and accept them.

General

Placing a commission means that you have read and agreed to these terms.
AI and NFT usage of commissioned artwork is strictly prohibited.
Clients under 18 must have permission from a parent or guardian.
Yamiiko may decline a request if she does not believe she can complete it well.
Do not rush a commission unless a rush fee has been discussed and paid.
Deadlines must be disclosed in advance. Rush fees range from 50% to 100% of the commission price depending on the timeline.
Commissions may take a few days to more than four months depending on the type. Progress updates will be provided.
Finished work is delivered digitally as a PNG. VTuber model commissions are delivered as PSD files. Request any other file type before work begins.
Provide clear reference images and detailed descriptions.
Personal artwork may not be reproduced as merchandise, including prints, keychains, stickers, or cosplay items.
Please respond to progress updates with feedback or approval so the commission can be finalized correctly.
After a commission is approved and delivered, the client is responsible for storing the finished files. Redelivery may not be possible.

New clients pay a $50 USD waitlist fee.
The waitlist fee does not apply to returning clients.
The fee is deducted from the final commission total when the commission proceeds.
The fee is not refundable if the client cancels or withdraws from the commission.

Five minor revisions are included during the sketch phase.
Major sketch revisions involving the pose, character, or composition cost an additional $5 USD per revision.
Three minor color or placement revisions are included during the final draft.
Major final draft revisions require an additional fee based on the requested change.
Corrections to details that were supplied before work began are free.

Ten revisions are included during the sketch and color planning phase.
Three revisions are included during the line and base color phase.
Two minor revisions are included during the final phase.
Corrections to details that were supplied before work began are free.
Additional revisions are priced according to the production phase.
Rigger-requested cutting adjustments are generally free unless they require substantial detail that was not included in the original request.
Additional revisions may extend the timeline by several days.

Full payment is required upfront. Payment plans may be discussed for commissions over $1,000 USD.
All prices are in USD.
A commission is confirmed only after the required payment has been received.
Payment is collected through a PayPal invoice before work begins.
Invoices must be paid within 48 hours unless another arrangement is discussed.
PayPal fees are not included. An additional 5% is added to the invoice total.
If an agreed payment plan installment is late without notice, Yamiiko may withdraw from the commission after 48 hours without issuing a refund.
For L2D model art, full payment upfront is recommended. A split of 50% upfront and 50% after final sketch and color approval may be arranged. Work pauses until the second payment is received.
Tips are appreciated but never required.

Yamiiko may post or stream work in progress unless a $50 USD privacy fee is paid. VTuber model privacy fees are discussed separately.
When a privacy fee is paid, the commission remains private until the agreed date. The privacy period may not exceed six months.
Completed commissions may be included in Yamiiko's portfolio and commission promotion.
Commissions are for personal use unless commercial usage is discussed and purchased.
Commercial use for streaming or monetized content costs twice the original commission fee.
Commercial use for merchandise costs three times the original commission fee.
VTuber model commissions include commercial usage rights.

A full refund is available when the client has paid in full and requests cancellation before work begins.
If the commission cannot be completed by the agreed deadline, a 20% to 60% refund may be issued based on progress.
If a problem on Yamiiko's side prevents completion, a 10% to 100% refund may be issued based on progress.
A client who cancels during the sketch phase receives a 50% refund.
